PLANNER REQUIREMENT

Do we need a wedding planner?

Yes—we kindly ask that all couples work with an experienced planner to ensure the day unfolds seamlessly.

There are a lot of moving pieces, and having someone dedicated to managing them allows you (and your people) to fully enjoy the celebration.

We’re happy to recommend planners who know The Carly well, or we look forward to meeting the one you choose.

GUEST COUNT

How many guests can The Carly accommodate?

We prefer hosting celebrations from modest sizes, up to 150 guests—large enough to gather everyone, while still feeling intimate in the right ways. 

If your projected guest count is higher, please contact us and we can work with you to accommodate. 

EVENT TIMING

What are the hours for our wedding day?

You’ll have access to the estate from 9am to 11pm on your wedding day—plenty of time to settle in, celebrate, and not feel rushed.

VENUE ACCESS / USE OF GROUNDS

Do we have access to the full property?

Yes—the entire estate grounds are yours to enjoy throughout your celebration.

From the larger gathering spaces to the smaller terraces and tucked-away corners, there’s plenty of room for the day to unfold naturally.

VENDOR POLICY

Can we choose our own vendors?

Yes—we take an à la carte approach, giving you the flexibility to bring in the team that feels right for you.

We’re happy to share a list of trusted vendors who know The Carly well, but the choice is always yours.

CATERING

Do you provide catering?

We do not provide in-house catering, but we can connect you with excellent catering partners who are familiar with the property.

All caterers must meet standard licensing and insurance requirements—nothing out of the ordinary.

RENTALS

How do rentals work?

We partner with trusted rental providers who can supply everything from tables and chairs to full event builds.

They know the property well, which helps everything run smoothly.

PARKING / TRANSPORTATION

How do guests arrive?

To keep things smooth on the day of, guests arrive by shuttle or organized transportation.

It keeps the focus where it should be—on the celebration—and helps everything flow easily and keep your guests safe.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Where do guests stay?

The Carly includes nine on-site guest suites for your closest family and friends.

For additional guests, there are excellent lodging options just minutes away in Carlton, McMinnville, Dundee, and Newberg—making it easy for everyone to be close without feeling crowded.

LOCATION

How far is The Carly from Portland?

The Carly is located about an hour from Portland, making it an easy and convenient destination for guests traveling in.

Most things here are designed to feel simple. Planning should feel that way too.
